If we turn up for a boiler repair, we turn up to do just that. We never use the “uneconomical to repair” line to sell a new boiler and we don’t pay our engineers any bonus based on upselling. We are turning up to get you back up and running as smoothly as possible.
If we service a gas appliance, we will provide a service record for each appliance serviced and we regularly do a full strip down service, every year on many boilers. This is why we charge by the time spent and not a fixed rate for servicing. We don’t try to squeeze a 2 hour service into an hour or ignore faults because we were only booked in for a service. If your appliance is kept in good condition, you should pay less than someone who is not having it serviced and letting it get into a poor state. If it needs a small repair doing at the same time, we get it done.
